Madhuri Dixit
Madhuri Dixit is an acclaimed Indian actor, known for her roles in the films Beta Saajan and Hum Haiin Koun..! The 80s were when she began her acting career and gained a lot of attention for her role of Tezaab in which she starred alongside an established actor Anil Kapooor. In the following film, she starred in the movie Dil in which she shared the screen alongside Aamir Khan. She was born into a middle-class household in Mumbai she started learning dance from an early age. In her teens, she began acting but suffered through a number of years because most of her first films were failures. Her career eventually took off and she was able to establish herself as one of the leading actresses in the Indian industry of film. Following her marriage she had some time off from her career prior to returning to the entertainment industry. Dixit played an important role for the film Gulaab Gang, a film which explores women's struggles within India. Dixit was nominated for an additional fifteen Filmfare Awards, out of which she received eight. Padma Shri is the fourth highest civilian honor in India. Her work in the field of social service is very well-known.
