Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, from Mexico was born into an affluent family. She grew up listening to classic, old boleros, and traditional ranchero, romantic as well as romance ballads. Ana enjoys the opera and tango genres as well as the various forms of dramatic performing. She began her singing and learning music with her mother, she began her more intensive singing training at the age of 16 working with the famous Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. She furthered her training in music with the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. As a student and young professional, she was a part of various chamber groups as well as opera choruses from Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. After 2000, she moved back to the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then, in 2007, she relocated to her home in southern California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and is a frequent solo performer in classic Latin American music at private occasions. Being a teacher and a musician she's committed to numerous community projects because of her love and love for music. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently teaching in The Performance Loft. Ana finds it a pleasure to have having the chance to share her love and passion of old-fashioned Latin American songs with others while she hopes to spread the desire, especially among younger generations in order to keep this music vibrant and alive.Viva Mexico!
